Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit.

This 24‑bed Intermediate Care Unit provides a dynamic and supportive environment for nurses who thrive in a fast‑paced setting bridging critical and acute care.

Part‑time, 24 hours per week, nights.

Patients with CHF, COPD, MI, CKD, AKD, sepsis; focus on medication drips (dobutamine, milrinone, dopamine, Lasix, heparin, nitroglycerin); nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4‑5.

• Registered Nursing degree or diploma
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN)

• Registered Nursing License (required)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

• 18 months of RN experience required

RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provide clinical leadership for delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, simplifies workflow, and contributes to staff development and satisfaction.
