As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol in Elizabeth City, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This position requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly, all while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Thur 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM, Fri 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM, Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help deter potential disturbances or violations.
  • Enforce site-specific rules, regulations, and procedures as directed.
  • Assist visitors and/or staff with directions and security-related information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing assigned patrols and duties.
Minimum Requirements
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
