Overview
Do you have a passion for making a real difference in the lives of children and families involved in the foster care system? Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated full-time Child Placement Licensing Coordinator to join our team in Greenville, NC. This community-based role will support Elizabeth City, NC (Pasquotank, Chowan and Perquimans counties). You will work with a collaborative team to provide services that support the whole person and empower children and families to find their way forward.
WhatYou’ll Do
- License, train, and maintain licensure of therapeutic foster homes; recruit and engage new foster parents; facilitate adoptions as needed.
- Work as part of the Elizabeth City Child Placement team in a hybrid role with remote and in-person activities (visits, trainings, travel).
- Attend to licensing paperwork accurately and timely; track and coordinate foster parent trainings and other licensure requirements to ensure compliance.
- Conduct foster parent trainings both virtually and in-person; maintain ongoing communication with foster families.

- Meeting with current and potential foster parents to license and maintain ongoing foster care licensure with quarterly and annual visits.
- Completing and submitting all foster home licensing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Tracking and coordinating foster parent trainings and other licensure requirements to ensure compliance.
- Conducting foster parent trainings routinely, both virtually and in-person.
- Providing ongoing support and communication to foster parents.

Additional Requirements- Bachelor's degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university plus one year of directly related experience.
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license and ability to be insured by Easter Seals PORT Health’s carrier; reliable transportation required.
- Background in child mental health and/or foster care experience.
- Experience with conducting training.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow timelines.
- Ability to develop written correspondence with clear, neat, accurate work; comfortable writing home assessments.
- Ability to work digitally on multiple platforms (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Excel, Electronic Health Record).
- Flexibility with schedule/on-call rotation (evening visits may be required for licensing paperwork and quarterly documentation).
