Accounting Clerk (Entry Level)Elizabeth, NJ
$19.00 per hour
Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position OverviewA growing company in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an Entry-Level Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting and administrative functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is computer savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with accounting programs and basic financial data.
Key Responsibilities- Enter invoices, payments, and financial data into internal accounting systems
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity
- Perform data entry and update spreadsheets as needed
- Support month-end and year-end processes
- Communicate with vendors or internal departments when necessary
- Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
- Some accounting knowledge or coursework (AP / AR basics)
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
- Experience with data entry and working in accounting programs preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to Elizabeth, NJ
- $19.00 per hour
- Stable Monday-Friday daytime schedule
- Weekly pay
