Education Safeguarding Trustee

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and wellbeing of young people in education? Do you have experience of education and safeguarding at a senior level? We are looking for someone to be our trustee lead on education safeguarding.

That’s why our housing, education, justice and health and wellbeing services work alongside people to give them the support and skills they need to succeed. And it’s why we fight for their voices to be heard and campaign together to create lasting change.

• Provide strategic leadership and governance to our organisation.
• Offer expert advice on safeguarding policies and best practices.
• Support and challenge the executive team to drive our mission forward.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical safeguarding responsibilities.
• Advocate for the safety and wellbeing of children in education.

• Safeguarding and child protection.
• Education policy and leadership.

This is a voluntary role requiring attendance at quarterly board meetings (usually in London or Birmingham). Education Committee meetings are usually held online, and the Committee meets up to five times a year. We estimate a time commitment of one day per month.

• Play a vital role in safeguarding Nacro.
• Help us shape our strategic direction and ensure a sustainable future.
• Volunteer for an organisation that helps thousands of people and campaigns for change.
