📝GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Assist in performing all functions required for the efficient operation of the accounting departments, with particular attention given to maintaining a high level of quality and to completing assignments on a timely basis.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a minimum of 2 years of work-related experience in accounting.
Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community
Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language
Good planning and organization skills
Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office products and Peachtree
Ability to be resourceful and work independently
Proficiency in mathematical functions
Ability to problem-solve
Access to an automobile vehicle, valid driver’s license and safe driving record required
📋JOB TASKS
Organizes and verifies the accuracy of time sheets for program participants including budget analyses
Maintains the payroll process including check production and distribution, and all necessary payroll recording and reporting on a timely and accurate basis
Maintains the accounts payable process including check production and distribution, and necessary recording and reporting on a timely and accurate basis
Records monthly income receipts and/or other information received as applicable
Assists with special projects and bank reconciliations
Prepares and maintains program/participant files as necessary
Makes cash deposits as required
Cooperates with any Agency, DDD or DYFS investigation or inspection
Filing PR/AP biweekly, Quarterly & Annually
All other duties as assigned
