** Description of Work
** Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (BMNTC) is accepting applications for a motivated Nurse Supervisor to help lead our dynamic nursing team by providing clinical leadership and oversight in a residential facility serving individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) and individuals with major neuro-cognitive disorders such as dementia.
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of quality resident care and the management of personnel within the assigned unit. This is achieved by ensuring that an adequate level of staffing is assigned to meet patient care needs and by monitoring staff performance through direct or indirect supervision. In order to ensure adequate coverage, the Nurse Supervisor may carry unit assignments and work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.

** Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus
** To qualify for the Sign-on Bonus,
* a* newly hired permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 to 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate.

An employee is

* * eligible for a sign-on bonus if:
* The employee has held a position in the North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system, within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date)
* The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency
* DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

** Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability.  The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.##
