Join our multidisciplinary Pain Management Unit (PMU), where you’ll work within a team of Clinical and Health Psychologists, alongside Pain Medicine Physicians, Rehabilitation Physicians, Psychiatrists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Pharmacists and dedicated administrative staff. As a Psychologist within the PMU, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and design tailored intervention programs for individuals living with pain and their families. Your work will primarily focus on outpatient care, offering both individual and group therapy to support patients on their journey to improved wellbeing.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with a range of health professionals to provide holistic care. You will also contribute to patient education programs and actively support consumer representatives, helping to enhance the patient experience. AboutYou
You are a skilled Psychologist with a passion for delivering specialised psychological care within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting. You bring strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence‑based interventions.
General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with a preference for a Master's degree (or higher) in Clinical or Health Psychology
Proven ability to design, implement and evaluate individual and group psychological interventions
Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and applying clinical problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of health‑related impacts on individuals and families, with understanding of relevant legislation and workplace standards
Benefits- Psychologists – if employed as an AHP holding an Area of Practice Endorsement eligible for an annual allowance depending on classification level, payable in lieu of the Additional Qualification Allowance.
