Mental Health Clinician

As a Mental Health Clinician for the Child Outpatient program, you are responsible for the direct provision of services to youth and families, including group and individual/family counseling.

Job Overview

Provide evidence‑based psycho‑therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, parent, and group therapies aimed at achieving identified patient goals.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree
  • LSW, LCSW, or LAC
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

  • Full‑Time (FT)
Essential Functions
  • Formulates and implements evidence‑based psycho‑therapeutic interventions with patients and families, including, but not limited to, individual, family, parent, and group therapies, which are geared toward achieving identified patient goals.
  • Interprets natural of illness and prescribed course of treatment to patients/families.
  • Analyzes data from standard instruments and modifies treatment approaches and techniques accordingly.
  • Conducts psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and risk assessments to assess patient needs.
  • Completes the initial and subsequently revised treatment plans according to specified outpatient standards.
  • Meets established productivity standards and billable hours.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Obtains appropriate release of information.
  • Participates in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education.
  • Upholds ethical standards and complies with licensure regulations and HIPAA.
  • Collaborates with other hospital programs and community agencies involved with patients and families to support patient needs and discharge plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
