Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) – Needed in Union County

Position at Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare.

Base pay range: $45.00/hr – $75.00/hr.

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for part‑time licensed therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide in‑home and center‑based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.

• Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.
• Perform bio‑psycho‑social assessments (or be willing to complete training).
• Provide coping and social skills training, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injurious behavior or physical aggression.
• Improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child‑Family Treatment Team and other disciplines supporting the youth and family.
• Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).
• Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW, LAC, LFT).
• Clinical mental‑health trauma counseling training.
• Some training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training.
• Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
• Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments.
• Knowledge of CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma response approaches.
• Ability to use DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
• Availability for a minimum of 6‑10 hours per week after school (12 noon – 8 pm); weekend flexibility is a plus.
• Experience providing positive behavior supports.
• Experience working with children ages 3‑20; additional experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.
• Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
• Submit resume plus copies of master’s degree and New Jersey license or certification.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H‑1B sponsorship).

State reciprocity is considered; the candidate must commute no more than 25‑30 minutes to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the New Jersey Marriage & Family Therapy Board (and applicable PA, NY, NJ).
