The starting wage for this position is $31.18 per hour

• Conduct virtual and on‑site investigations by visiting policyholder residences to assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop to determine claims‑related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential sub‑rogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies.
• Perform duties independently with direct impact on management outcomes.
• Act as a company representative in public interactions, maintaining a professional demeanor consistent with management standards.
• Engage regularly with stakeholders: policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals.
• Use strong customer service skills to negotiate settlements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably retail.
• Construction or insurance experience highly desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
• Eager to learn insurance policies and property damage coverage.
• Outgoing personality, enjoys interacting with diverse people.
• Valid driver’s license and bondable. Final candidates will undergo a motor vehicle record background check.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, achieve passing score on training exams.

• Bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sorting, carrying up to 50 lbs., climbing, reaching, standing, walking, seeing.
• Speaking, reading, writing (English); key entering.
