Construction Project Manager – Public Infrastructure

Location: Onsite (Several Locations Across New Jersey)

Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 + Benefits

JL Recruitment is working with a leading name in public infrastructure delivery, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take charge of key civil and infrastructure projects across New Jersey. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll guide complex builds from concept to completion — ensuring every milestone is met with precision, safety, and quality.

As the Project Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind each project’s success — steering teams, subcontractors, and consultants toward seamless execution. From contract award to final handover, you’ll own the process and deliver results that exceed client expectations.

You will:

• Lead on‑site operations, subcontractor coordination, and procurement activities.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change orders with accuracy and accountability.
• Track budgets, forecasts, and progress, producing clear reports for senior management.
• Anticipate and resolve technical or logistical challenges before they impact delivery.
• Foster collaborative relationships with clients, engineers, and field teams.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership that keeps the project moving — and the team motivated.

• Proven experience managing construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in public works or utilities.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong command of project budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.
• Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, Sage Timberline, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• A proactive mindset and the ability to lead confidently in a dynamic, on‑site environment.
