Machine Operator – Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Responsible for the safe operation of bag machines to produce high‑quality bags, including shopping, merchandise, grocery and sack machines.

• Perform all tasks safely, adhering to PPE, clothing, EHS, and cut‑resistant glove requirements.
• Check bags for quality defects, complete paperwork as per the Quality Policy.
• Strip rolls down, remove liner and bands, minimize damaged paper layers.
• Change rolls, splice by hand, maneuver rolls, adhere roll to web, adjust paper rolls.
• Monitor bag machinery, start, stop, jog, and adjust as needed in a timely manner.
• Thread paper through the machine smoothly, thread machine as needed.
• Clean and repair machine as required using proper tools and equipment.
• Maintain ink levels, clean ink pans, and wash rollers.
• Package bags as specified, change orders.
• Submit accurate production reports daily and timely.
• Meet/achieve safety, quality, production waste, and housekeeping goals set by management.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma, GED, or applicable work experience.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills are required.
• Problem‑solving skills to ensure minor machine adjustments are correct.
• Effective communication skills with other employees and management.
• Good eyesight (no color‑blindness) to spot flaws in color comparison and print set‑up as bags or film come off the production line.

• Starting Pay Rate of $20.29/hour.
