The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The ECT nurse prepares patients for electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), monitors their vital signs before, during, and after the procedure, and provides post-treatment care and emotional support,

They work with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and anesthesiologists, and are responsible for patient safety, administering medications, and educating patients and their families about the treatment process and potential side effects

• Minimum 1 year of experience in behavior health setting
• Certifications and Licenses
  
  Required:
• NJ RN License
• BLS
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Part Time
• 24 hours

• Patient preparation:
  Prepare patients for the ECT procedure, which may include starting an IV and ensuring all medical requirements are met,
• Procedure monitoring:
  Closely monitor the patient's vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after the treatment,
• Post-treatment care:
  Provide immediate post-procedure care in the recovery area, assess for any side effects, and help the patient recover from anesthesia,
• Patient and family education:
  Educate patients and their families about the ECT procedure, its purpose, potential side effects (like memory issues or confusion), and what to expect after the treatment,
• Team collaboration:
  Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, anesthesiologists, other nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure patient safety and coordinate care,
• Medication administration:
  Administer necessary medications as prescribed by the physician,
• Documentation:
  Keep accurate records of the treatment and patient's condition,
• Emotional support:
  Offer emotional support to patients and families, who may have anxieties or concerns about the treatment,
• Clinic operations:
  Some roles may also involve assisting with the day-to-day operations of the ECT clinic,
