Job Summary
The Creative Arts Therapist is a direct service position responsible for providing creative arts therapy within the YWCA Eastern Union County PALS Program. The focus areas include individual and group therapy in dance/movement, drama, and art, along with intake and assessment, parent education, and documentation. All shelter staff will be trained to answer the hotline and cover backup shifts.

- Rate: $35/hour
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in creative arts therapy or equivalent
- Board Certified (ATR-BC) or eligible
- Prior counseling or clinical experience
- Experience with children, domestic violence, or trauma survivors preferred
- Bilingual/bicultural skills are a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
Key Responsibilities
Intake & Assessment- Conduct intake assessments and psychological tests for children in the program
- Create individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with PALS staff to meet each child's needs
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Incorporate safety planning and respectful behavior education into sessions
- Educate parents about domestic violence dynamics and non-violent parenting strategies
- Promote family bonding through creative arts sessions
- Attend staff and supervisory meetings
- Participate in required trainings
- Maintain accurate client records and reports
- Submit reports timely and professionally
- Attend meetings, trainings, and community events
- Coordinate with other YWCA programs
- Represent the agency externally and internally as needed
- Provide transportation if necessary
- Answer hotline and cover shelter shifts as trained

Salary: $34 - $35 per hour
