Position Overview

Fast Pace Health is seeking an X‑Ray Technologist to provide clinical and administrative support under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Responsibilities
  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific job description.
  • Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track x‑ray orders so they can be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist patient with proper positioning during the exam to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Ensure activities are conducted in a manner consistent with department expectations and comply with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including knowledge of all health information management issues such as HIPAA.
  • Review exam images for initial read by provider.
  • Send final images to Radiology group for over read.
  • Label laterality of all images correctly using initialed lead marker.
  • Confirm no removable artifacts are in the anatomy requested and ensure the proper technique is used; any artifacts appearing in the anatomy of interest must have a solid explanation noted in the history.
  • Address minor maintenance issues with the machines and follow up with nurse coordinator (or Clinic Director) for consultation prior to any outsourcing calls.
  • Monitor the condition of the cassettes and other equipment in the x‑ray room for signs of wear or malfunction and submit problems found as soon as possible to the Imaging Director.
  • Maintain cleanliness of cassettes, chest bucky, and exam table after each use to avoid cross contamination.
  • Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
  • Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collecting pertinent clinical history, and charting as required. Perform blood draws, give injections, administer oral medications, and perform other basic nursing tasks when not directly in the course of a radiographic exam.
  • Monitor X‑Ray badge monthly and wear radiation monitors at all times in the X‑Ray room.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training.
  • Welcome new employees on their first day, facilitate introductions, clinic tours, and an overview of clinic processes.
  • Assist new employees with learning activities and required training.
  • Provide job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities.
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees and build confidence and credibility with all employees and clients.
  • Perform the physical, use of senses, cognitive, and environmental functions of the position as specified on the physical demands.
  • Comply with company standards of operations and adhere to the core values of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendliness.
Experience Requirements and Preferences
  • Current License or Certification:
    ARRT License (Registered Technologist),
    State License (Registered Technologists’ and Limited Scope). License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency.
