We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to manage existing customer relationships and develop new business. This role works closely with operations and leadership to ensure accurate pricing, clear communication of specifications, and dependable service. The ideal candidate understands that profitable sales—not just volume—drive success
.
Sales & Account Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts
- Increase sales through volume growth, product mix, and margin improvement
- Maintain strong, long‑term customer relationships
- Identify opportunities for custom pallets, repairs, and specialty products
New Business Development
- Prospect and qualify new customers
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, and in‑person visits as needed
- Prepare and present quotes and proposals
- Assist with onboarding new customers in coordination with operations
Pricing & Quoting
- Prepare quotes using company‑approved pricing guidelines
- Maintain minimum acceptable pricing standards
- Obtain approval for any pricing exceptions
- Ensure quotes reflect current material, labor, and freight costs
Customer Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
- Respond promptly to inquiries regarding orders, lead times, and specifications
- Communicate delays or changes proactively
Coordinate issue resolution with production and management
Operations Coordination
- Communicate customer specifications accurately (dimensions, lumber type, nailing patterns, treatments)
- Confirm lead times with production before committing to customers
- Provide demand forecasts to assist with production planning
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience preferred (manufacturing, industrial, or logistics a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand cost‑based pricing and specifications
- Comfortable working closely with production and operations teams
- Proficient with basic computer systems (CRM, email, spreadsheets)
