Senior ICT / Security Designer
Join us at HDR to design mission‑critical ICT solutions for healthcare and data‑center environments. As a senior designer, you will lead low‑voltage technology design, creating innovative, future‑ready solutions.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, select and apply state‑of‑the‑art low voltage technology systems, techniques, procedures, design and modifications.
- Design and specify low voltage technology systems including structured cabling, outside plant and fiber optic systems.
- Understand medical technology system design such as nurse call, patient EETV, physiological monitoring, EMS radio and distributed antenna systems.
- Take responsibility for the complete set of construction documents.
- Recognize that assignments have objectives that require investigation of many variables.
- Independently perform low voltage technology/electrical engineering assignments with broad general instruction from the Project Manager regarding the results expected.
- Select and recommend procedures, security devices and equipment, write specifications covering all low voltage technology system matters, perform reviews, and work directly with owners as part of the project team.
- Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed and be responsible for work in all phases of the low voltage technology design process.
- Conduct QA/QC on work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- PSP certification.
- Familiarity with Autodesk platforms.
- Experience in Data Centers and Healthcare systems.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a government security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in low‑voltage system design.
- RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MS Project, MS Visio, Autodesk, Specs Intact.
