Position Title:
Logistics Supervisor
Mission:
Ensure processes and procedures related to material handling, storage and control are being performed as defined. / Ensure material is delivered to production lines on time / Score 85 as minimum on 5S´s for areas assigned.
Essential Functions and Key Accountabilities
Meet Proeza Internal Control Policy (Receiving, Shipping and Scrap Sales Processes).
Meet KPI´s and rules of Metalsa Model (Safety, 5S’s, Focus Document, Innovation)
Meet Quality System documenting work instructions and standard work it´s updated and follow up of action plans detected don Quality Audits.
Team Member Management:
Keeping Kronos and Rosters updated; attendance, overtime and absenteeism report, skills matrix and training follow up. Ensure processes are being followed by training and audit on a daily basis (including counseling and disciplinary actions).
Inventory Control Accuracy:
Tracking transactions on QAD to keep records updated, ensuring production reports match QAD. Coordinate and participate of annual physical inventory. Ensure materials are being labeled correctly. Reviewing all scrap tags are being recorded on QAD. Support Cycle Counts.
Management of PIV (Power Industrial Vehicles):
Ensure the correct utilization of the PIV. Training team members to detect non-safe actions. Validate invoices for repairs and PMs.
Manage Packaging and Label:
Develop and update standard packs instructions, ensure packaging availability and correct utilization. Ensure proper labeling. Ensure damaged packaging process is followed.
Safety:
Ensure daily safety check list is being performed in all PIV. Ensure PPE utilization. Correct unsafe conditions (based on Safety report) and apply corrective actions for unsafe acts. Report safety alerts and reports and participate in A3 developments in case of recordable incidents. Lead safety meetings with your team.
Problem Solving:
Develop improvement projects that help to improve business profitability and operational excellence.
Scrap Management:
Ensure non-confirming material is moved to the MRB locations and only scrap material identified is being dumped. Ensure not scrap material is mixed.
Support Engineering changes implementations, ensuring clean point and implementations dates. Material identification.
Academics and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree with 1-3 or 3-5 years of manufacturing experience required
2 years of leadership experience or leadership course experience preferred
Automotive experience required
3 years of experience in logistics, traffic, inventory control, storage, and packaging
