Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking experienced Off-Shift Production Supervisors for a well-established Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
This facility specializes in heavy metal stamping and the production of structural components and frames for Ford trucks.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, experience overseeing multiple production lines, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily production operations across multiple manufacturing lines during second or third shift.
- Lead, train, and develop production employees to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, and equipment performance to meet customer demands.
- Identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering departments to address production challenges.
- Monitor production metrics, including efficiency, scrap, downtime, and overall equipment performance.
- Manage employee attendance, performance, scheduling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Communicate production updates, operational concerns, and shift performance to plant leadership.
- Previous production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
, particularly within a Tier 1 supplier. - Experience managing multiple production lines in a high-volume manufacturing facility.
- Background in metal stamping, heavy fabrication, or automotive structural components highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a union manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Understanding of production scheduling, manufacturing KPIs, and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot production challenges and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be comfortable working second or third shift.
- Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience.
- Additional Pay: Eligible for straight-time compensation for hours worked beyond 45 per week.
