under close supervision, the site director plans, organizes, and directs recreation enrichment activities/programs such as day camps, youth and adult sports, leisure and enrichment classes, and special events specific to the assigned program area of the position. Responsibilities may vary depending upon the assignment within the parks and recreation department.

the site director serves in a key leadership support role within the expanded learning after school program operated by cosumnes csd in partnership with the elk grove unified school district. These positions help oversee either the tk/kinder morning program or afternoon logistics, ensuring smooth daily operations, safe transitions, and effective communication with families and school staff.

site directors are responsible for supporting staff, maintaining a positive and developmentally appropriate environment, and assisting with documentation and reporting. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, responsive, and passionate about youth programs and team collaboration in a school-based setting.

typical working hours are monday through friday, 7:30 am-1:00 pm or 12:30 pm-5:45 pm
. Schedule is aligned with the egusd academic calendar. Flexibility is required for mandatory trainings, professional development, and district-wide events at various cosumnes csd locations.

the salary range for the site director classification is between $20.50 - $22.25 per hour
. The district typically appoints new employees at step 1 of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge, and shall be no more than the midpoint of the salary range.

• provides and oversees the implementation of a wide variety of age appropriate activities/curriculum in the assigned program area;
• provides a safe and clean environment with adequate supervision by implementing guidelines from csd and department policies and procedures manuals;
• arrives on time and in proper attire/appearance as required by csd guidelines;
• accountable for all program participants during program hours;
• monitors behavior of participants;
• provides courteous and professional service to all program participants, facility users, csd personnel, egusd personnel and the public;
• maintains daily attendance and registration records, in accordance with registration policies;
• completes reports, forms, and activity calendars as necessary, and ensures that all reports are completed and submitted accurately and on time;
• communicates with parents, participants and the public; discusses program concerns and participation issues and provides solutions when appropriate; informs parents of upcoming program activities and csd events;
• conducts work tasks safely and in compliance with department safety standards and the csd injury and illness prevention program;
• reports any potentially unsafe conditions to the supervisor;
• responsible for, and may assist with, set up and clean up of facility and equipment;
• enforces rules and regulations of programs and facilities as mandated by csd policies;
• actively contributes to building participant enrollment, which may include attending egusd school functions, program outreach events and assists supervisory staff in program outreach and marketing;
• attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings as required; ensures that site staff are fully aware of any and all pertinent information;
