Project Manager (Software and Technology) – Elk Grove, CA (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)

Location: Elk Grove, CA (Hybrid – 3 days on-site)

Employment type: Direct Hire/FTE

Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 per year base + 10% bonus and excellent benefits

Work Requirements: U.S. Citizen, Green Card holders, or authorized to work in the U.S.

Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple small and medium-sized projects. The role involves assembling project plans, directing and monitoring project work, collaborating with leadership to resolve issues, tracking milestones, and coordinating communication with other teams.

• Lead, develop, and manage clear, detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to define project goals, scope, success metrics, and deliverables.
• Communicate effectively across teams, leadership, and external partners to keep everyone aligned.
• Bring together cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, design, operations, support) to drive collaboration.
• Track project progress, proactively identify blockers or delays, and adjust plans as needed.
• Lead resolution of complex issues and coordinate teams to identify risks early with mitigation plans.
• Provide regular concise updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and support smooth handoff during releases.
• Maintain organized project documentation (plans, decisions, meeting notes, reports, lessons learned).
• Own project metrics and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of project management experience in Software Engineering, IT Systems, or related field with proven ability to deliver results on large‑scale projects.
• PMP or PMI/ACP certification is a plus.
• Solid working knowledge of effective Project Management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information concisely to a non‑technical audience.
• Ability to effectively run and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales.
• Self‑motivated, pro‑active, and a self‑starter with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred.
