Material Coordinator, 2nd Shift (PM) - $23.18/ hr
Location:
Elk Grove, CA. Shift: PM (8 hours). Compensation: $23.18 per hour.
The Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory, aligning physical and system records, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting production, purchasing, and warehouse activities.
Responsibilities- Perform food safety and safety tasks in compliance with SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies.
- Accurately report production totals, print pallet tags, and transfer finished products to designated warehouse locations.
- Verify and report the accuracy of TGI and inventory control reports (LITS – Lots Inventory Tracking System).
- Complete daily raw product and finished product inventories required for production.
- Supply the production department with raw and packaging materials, log raw materials into LITS, and return leftover materials to the warehouse.
- Investigate root causes of inventory issues and notify the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager.
- Maintain raw and finished product organization, ensuring FIFO pull and clear Corn Return Area and Flour Return Area.
- Remove cobwebs, chipping paint, and broken pallets from the production and warehouse areas.
- Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials (1‑3 items).
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead, and demonstrate a willingness to serve and teamwork.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 2 years relevant shipping and receiving experience required.
- 1‑2 years inventory experience preferred.
- 1‑2 years forklift/industrial equipment operating experience.
- 1‑2 years ERP system experience (or equivalent software).
- Fluent in English preferred.
- Proficient verbal and written communication.
- Proficient math and basic computer skills.
- Basic Excel skills and analytical proficiency.
- High detail orientation and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent people skills and teamwork.
- Proactive, initiative‑driven, and self‑motivated.
- Ability to meet productivity and efficiency goals.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs and work in awkward positions.
- Operation of heavy equipment: forklift, electric lift, scissor lift, pallet jack, and mobile scanner device (RF gun).
- Adherence to drug and alcohol zero‑tolerance policy and all food safety and third‑party certification policies (SQF, gluten‑free, organic, etc.).
- Continual walking and standing on hard surface; driving industrial equipment such as forklifts, electric lifts, scissor lifts, and pallet jacks.
- Continual bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cold, hot temperatures, and noise.
