Minimum requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Note:
  
  some of our partner districts require para educators to be highly qualified. We will let you know if this is the case for your selected district. To be considered highly qualified, you must either have completed 60+ college credits/Associates degree OR pass the Para Pro Assessment. We are happy to help direct you on how to complete the Para Pro Assessment, if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
