The Assistant Controller oversees the daily operations of the Accounting Department and ensures accurate, timely completion of all reporting and financial activities. This role supports the Controller by managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate data entry, preparing monthly financial statements, and overseeing compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and reports.
• Oversee AP, AR, and credit card reconciliations.
• Handle sales/use tax filings and SOX compliance.
• Assist with audits and cross-functional initiatives.
• Mentor accounting team members.

Skills & Competencies

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communicator and team leader.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Supervision

• Manages accounting team members.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Office-based in manufacturing setting.
• Moderate noise; occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).

Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m.
  
  -5:00 p.m.
• Flexibility required; travel

Qualifications

• Required:
  
  Associate degree, 4 years in GL accounting, AR/AP experience, supervisory background.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree, SAGE 100 experience.

Pay: 90-105k
