Role Overview
:
Customer Service Representatives serve as the frontline contact for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. In this role, you’ll provide timely and accurate customer service. Using good communication skills, computer skills, and on-the-job training, you will assist millions of Hoosiers with their broad scope of BMV needs.
Salary Statement
:
The salary for this position typically starts at $29,588.00.
A Day in the Life:The essential functions of this role include:
- Conducting customer transactions using your knowledge
- Answering customer questions and providing guidance
- Assisting with daily opening and closing of the branch
- Checking transactions for accuracy, timeliness, and proper accounting
- Working with leadership to resolve escalated customer concerns and system issues
- Filing applications as completed throughout the day

What You'll Need for Success:Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to process cash and card transactions
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for branch, training, or community activities
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
This role may involve supervisory duties depending on agency needs.
