To assist teachers and students with learning activities aligned with the Corporation’s educational programming to continuously develop students’ knowledge and skills so that they are prepared to pursue college and/or career opportunities.

• Recognize the basic dignities of students, parents and families, colleagues, and subordinates.
• Exercise due care to protect the mental and physical safety of students.
• Supervise students during transitions, recesses, lunches, and other times as directed.
• Assist ENL teachers in providing services to meet students’ language acquisition needs.
• Supplement teacher instruction to support student learning.
• Plan and instruct students individually and/or in small groups to support student learning.
• Perform non-instructional duties to support school operations.
• Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with students’ parents and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• A high school diploma or an equivalent

The duties of this position are performed in all school environments. Persons are required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception. Noise levels in the working environments may be moderately loud or loud. Occasionally, persons are required to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Persons are also required to maintain emotional composure under stress.
