Any applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Able to go on-site in Elkhart, IN up to 5 days a week (will consider relocation candidates or candidates local to the area, will not consider hybrid)
  • Currently holds a title of CFO or equivalent to the top finance person in their company
  • Has current experience in Manufacturing
  • Comfortable with a salary range between $,000 depending on experience (bonus + long term incentives will be disclosed during interview stages)

SUMMARY

The CFO will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO, playing a critical role in shaping the company’s long-term financial and operational strategy. This individual will provide the CEO with clear, data-driven financial insights to guide key business decisions, while also ensuring the CEO remains actively involved in major financial strategies and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Lead and Oversee Financial Operations:
Direct all aspects of finance and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, financial analysis, and cost accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.

• Strategic Financial Leadership:
Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and Executive Team on capital structure, financial strategy, and performance optimization. Drive alignment between financial planning and long-term business objectives.

• Integrated Financial Planning:
Lead company-wide financial planning and analysis (FP&A), ensuring processes support proactive decision-making and align with strategic growth initiatives.

• Risk and Legal Oversight:
Provide financial oversight for legal matters, settlements, risk exposure, and property and casualty insurance needs in coordination with legal counsel and external advisors.

• Cash & Capital Management:
Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning to support current operations and future growth while maintaining liquidity and financial flexibility.

• Operational Partnership:
Collaborate with operations and business unit leaders to identify margin expansion opportunities, improve cost structures, and support efficiency initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain functions.

• M&A Strategy and Execution:
Lead financial evaluation, due diligence, deal modeling, and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships in alignment with corporate growth strategies.

• Compliance & Governance:
Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards, tax laws, audit requirements, and internal control frameworks, maintaining a strong financial governance environment.

• Financial Systems & Infrastructure:
Implement and optimize scalable financial systems, tools, and processes that support operational complexity, global expansion, and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Development:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.

• Stakeholder Relations:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with key external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, insurance providers, tax authorities, and private equity or investment partners as applicable.

• Enable Agility in Decision-Making:
Maintain a flexible, responsive financial strategy that allows the company to pivot quickly in response to market dynamics, operational challenges, or strategic opportunities while supporting a culture of informed, timely decision-making across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Experience

• 15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent).

• Strong background in manufacturing; packaging industry experience is highly preferred.

• Experience supporting multi-site or multi-division organizations, ideally in a mid-sized private company environment.
