BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN - ELKHART

Join LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. in Elkhart, IN to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and assist families in implementing instructional and behavioral intervention programs.

Description

Essential Functions
  • Implement 1:1 instructional and behavioral intervention programs with all assigned clients following the ABA treatment plan developed by a Program Manager.
  • Participate in all required training activities, including the fundamentals of ABA, discrete trial teaching techniques, management of maladaptive behaviors, child development, and data collection techniques applicable to the clients.
  • Observe and record the child’s behavior and progress on goals as indicated by the Program Manager.
  • Provide assistance during the arrival and departure of clients.
  • Accurately complete daily documentation of services provided as required for billing.
  • Participate in meetings regarding the client’s ABA program.
  • Participate in monthly parent meetings for specific clients when assigned by Program Manager or Clinical Site Director.
  • Communicate with supervisory staff on a regular basis.
  • Arrive promptly at the service location and engage in productive work activity until the end of the assigned shift.
  • Respect the wishes of the family as outlined in the Family Services Agreement.
  • Respect the confidentiality of the client and their family, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Work as a team member to develop and enhance services, maintaining a cooperative and respectful relationship with all staff and management.
  • Provide information to the accounting department needed for billing, with accuracy and within the designated time frame.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency in providing consistent high‑quality services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Complete training necessary to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
General Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the health & safety of individuals served.
  • Represent LOGAN positively in the community.
  • Serve as an advocate & protect the dignity & human rights of individuals served.
  • Serve as an example for staff in terms of good employee practices, including excellent attendance and strict adherence to LOGAN policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Activity Requirements
  • Ability to sit at a child‑height table.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and reach.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Educational, Skill, and Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to interact well with children.
  • Ability to follow ABA programs as developed by supervising BCBA.
  • Ability to work well independently.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a therapy team member.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
Credentialing

Credentialing as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is ideal, but can be achieved through training and supervision once you start your position at LOGAN.

Salary Description

$15.00 – $18.20 per hour.
