The Controller / Director of Administration is responsible for overseeing all accounting and administrative functions to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and smooth day-to-day operational support. This role leads accounting and administrative workflows while partnering closely with leadership to drive financial clarity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting functions, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Manage general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, and financial statement preparation.
- Lead and develop accounting staff, scaling the team as the company grows.
- Coordinate and supervise physical inventory counts and reconcile variances.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and operational procedures.
- Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial insights and decision‑making support.

Competencies- Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Skilled in financial analysis, reporting, and internal control development.

- Ability to partner cross‑functionally with operations and executive leadership.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Several years of proven, progressive accounting leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory processes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
- CPA certification is a plus.
Oversees accounting team and administrative staff, with responsibility for training and performance management.
Physical DemandsProlonged periods of desk and computer work.
Work environment- Office environment within a manufacturing organization.
- Frequent collaboration with operations, leadership, and administrative teams.
Minimal travel required; potential for occasional local travel for meetings, training, or audits.

Shift/Schedule- Standard operating hours;
Monday through Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm - Additional hours or schedule adjustments may be required during project deadlines.
