Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager
JB Poindexter & Co (JBPCO) is a privately held, diversified manufacturing company forecasting $3B in annual revenue and 10,000 team members in 2025. JBPCO prides itself on providing best-in-class commercial automotive and industrial vehicles. The nine operating subsidiaries, covering approximately 70 locations, are engaged in the production of commercial truck bodies, step-vans, utility trucks, ambulances, funeral coaches, limousines, electric and alternative fuel vehicles, pickup truck bed enclosures, and expandable foam plastic packaging.

Our Manufacturing Leadership Development Program identifies future leaders to support organizational growth. The two-year rotation includes six-month assignments in operations or supply chain, with the goal of preparing for Senior Manager, Director, and Vice President level roles across JB Poindexter & Co. You will have direct access to senior leaders across multiple companies and the corporate office. Participants will develop an Individual Development Plan to guide a comprehensive learning experience.
Participants report to the Corporate VP of Operations, who serves as an executive-level mentor during the program.
There are two hubs for the Leadership Development Program. Each rotation will be at one of our manufacturing businesses in and around Elkhart, IN;
Sturgis, MI;
Reading, PA;
Morgantown, PA. Upon completion, candidates may be offered a leadership position at a JBPCO manufacturing location in the United States. Willingness to relocate during and after the program is required.
- MBA degree from an accredited four-year university with a focus on operations, supply chain, business, or entrepreneurship. Preferably with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on supply chain or mechanical engineering experience on the plant floor working directly for a discrete manufacturer (e.g., automotive, machinery, durable goods).
- Proven manufacturing experience with measurable achievements, preferably in management or leadership roles, either before or after completing an advanced degree.
- Experience in operations, supply chain, or engineering.
- Leadership roles in school and/or at work.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting relationships.
- May be required to relocate during the program.
