The Senior Production Manager is responsible for all activities within the manufacturing facility in support of the Plant Manager/Director of Operations. This role leads the management team to achieve consistent production of high‑quality products and deliver financial profitability for the bakery.

• Oversee manufacturing operations for a commercial baking facility consisting of hourly associates and management staff.
• Lead the achievement of a zero‑injury workplace and ensure compliance with FDA, EPA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations.
• Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism, actively supporting the company’s values and policies.
• Enforce procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan.
• Maintain records for all production and quality‑related activities, including bakery formulation records and audit documentation.

• Knowledge of operations in all bakery departments: production, quality, food safety, maintenance, and materials management.
• Track record of improving operations while delivering day‑to‑day performance.
• Ability to analyze data using operational systems and programs.
• Experience building a strong leadership team.
• Ability to work closely in a team‑based environment with associates at all levels.
• Knowledge of safety‑related issues and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
• Labor relations experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a technical field (preferred). A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted.
• 10+ years of increasingly responsible manufacturing experience, at least 5 years in the food industry.
• 4+ years of direct supervisory experience.
• Strong business acumen and working knowledge of process control and improvement tools.
• Participative management style with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
