Shipping Clerk

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to manage the flow of goods in and out of our shipping department, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping and receiving processes, ERP systems, basic computer knowledge and possess the skills necessary to operate various warehouse equipment.

• Process outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and preparing necessary documentation.
• Utilize our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, Netsuite, to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks as required.
• Perform order picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipping and receiving operations.
• Engage with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Provide additional backup support for other departments.

• Proficiency in operating forklifts or pallet jacks.
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and packaging standards.
• Familiarity with tablets and computers for tracking inventory movements.
• Basic math skills for accurate counting and inventory management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred.

• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Operate a forklift.
• Standing, walking, and moving for extended periods of time.
• Proficient computer skills, and operate a tablet, with the ability to learn new software;
  Microsoft Office suite required.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet.
• Receiving, stocking, and stacking.
• Pulling, packing, and loading.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
• Able to work independently and within a team.

• Able to work in a hot, humid environment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• 1-2 years’ experience in manufacturing preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving preferred.
• 2 years’ experience with an ERP system, receiving in orders and setting up orders for shipping.

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $17.69 - $21.85 per hour
