A Buffer supports the manufacturing team by restoring, correcting, and enhancing painted surfaces to meet Bennington quality standards. This position uses specialized polishing and buffing equipment to remove defects, improve finish appearance, and ensure products are delivered to customers with exceptional fit and finish.

• Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections, scratches, and defects.
• Operate buffing and polishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Remove sanding marks, oxidation, swirl marks, and other finish defects.
• Restore painted surfaces to meet company quality standards.
• Verify finish appearance and ensure components meet production specifications.
• Assist with final touch-up and finishing operations as required.
• Maintain buffing tools, pads, compounds, and related equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support department production goals and schedules.
• Cross-train within the department and support other team members as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce rework and defects.
