Advanced Practice Clinician Nurse (BMG) NP
Reports to a Director for administrative supervision and to the Practice Site Physician or designee for clinical supervision. Is responsible for the coordination and delivery of primary care to BMG patients at designated work sites, and for providing clinical and administrative assistance to BMG programs.

- Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patients.
- Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
- Perform a complete physical exam and record findings; collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long‑term medical needs.
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesize data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan using principles of prevention.
- Administer medications and injections according to physician direction; suturing minor lacerations.
- Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention; recommend community resources.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information; post tests and examination results.
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation.
- Coordinate or manage medical and surgical emergencies when appropriate.
- Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Participate in health education.
- Maintain related records and statistical data; prepare statistical reports as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and assist with referrals and dissemination of information to appropriate vendors.
- Assist in the development and coordination of ongoing education and follow‑up programs designed to measure client outcomes.
- Develop and maintain affiliation with professional and community organizations.
- Assist in development and compliance of clinical protocols, policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality review and improvement programs; monitor quality and outcomes of care rendered.
- Communicate with physician(s) to ensure quality and timeliness of services rendered to patients.
- Perform other job‑related assignments and special projects as directed.
- Attend and participate in department meetings; hold accountability for information shared.
- Complete mandatory education, annual competencies and department‑specific education within established time frames.
- Complete annual employee health requirements within established time frames.
- Maintain license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications required by the position/department.
- Consistently utilize appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adhere to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.

The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing. A valid and current RN license in the state of Indiana is required. The successful completion of a nurse practitioner program with applicable national certification is required.
