The Hematology Oncology Specialty Clinic Nurse is an integral member of the oncology care team, providing specialized nursing assessment, triage, patient education, procedural support, and treatment coordination for patients with cancer and blood disorders. This role helps patients safely navigate complex treatment plans while ensuring timely communication and continuity of care.

• Manages clinical messages and provides RN-level telephone and electronic triage, escalating concerns appropriately.
• Coordinates orders, testing, medications, referrals, treatment preparation, and follow-up.
• Prepares and supports patients before, during, and after clinic-based procedures, including patient assessment, education, supplies, specimen handling, and follow-up.
• Supports physicians and APPs with order preparation and entry within established workflows and RN scope of practice.
• Coordinates treatment readiness with providers, infusion, pharmacy, laboratory, and other clinical teams.
• Communicates clinical instructions, treatment education, and next steps to patients and families.
• Maintains timely documentation of assessments, interventions, procedures, and patient communications.
• Identifies and helps resolve clinical workflow gaps that may delay care.

Strong oncology nursing judgment, triage and assessment skills, and the ability to manage multiple clinical priorities in a fast‑paced outpatient setting. Comfortable working across physician practice, infusion, pharmacy, and other oncology services.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license.
• Oncology, ambulatory, or specialty practice experience preferred.
• OCN certification obtained within two years of hire
