Pro Sales Specialists are very active, moving throughout the store or garden center, answering phones, and talking to Pro customers. You will spend most of your time communicating with Pro customers, discussing project needs and helping solve their business challenges. Your exceptional consulting services help ensure that Pro customers’ needs are met before they leave the store.
Key Responsibilities- Understand the Pro business to identify customer needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, quoting, and ordering merchandise.
- Work with Lowe’s Pro Supply to order products through the Fulfillment and Delivery network to service the customer.
- Communicate information to customers about Service, Brand, and Value benefits of using the Fulfillment and Delivery network.
- Prospect and utilize CRM to build customer relationships and streamline processes, improving customer service, increasing sales, and increasing visibility to services that Lowe’s Pro Supply can provide.
- Offer and assist customers in signing up for MVPs Pro rewards, partnership programs, and promote Pro Credit solutions and the Pro wallet.
- Communicate information about stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
- Cross‑functionally train in other store areas to help deliver the best customer service and learn what Pros are buying across the store.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑2 years of sales experience, with the ability to identify and sell products based on customer needs.
- 1‑2 years of customer service experience, understanding how to resolve issues, assist customers in locating products, greet customers, answer phones, build relationships, and thank customers for their business.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move around the store, and lift items up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to use common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Obtain required sales‑related licensure or registration if required by law.
- 1‑2 years of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
- 1‑2 years of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including special sales orders.
- Professional certification related to the department.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
This role does not require regular travel, but may need to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor conditions, with exposure to varying climates, extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid or windy environments, or drafty conditions.
