Office Assistant

Assist in gathering, organizing and scanning client information for tax return preparation. Assemble completed tax returns for delivery/return to clients. A capable candidate may also have the ability to complete basic data entry for tax return preparation.

Employment would be part-time now through April 15, with potential for continued employment after April 15. Hours would depend upon availability M-F 3 - 7:00, after school and Saturdays 8-noon.

Responsibilities:

• prepare, compile and sort documents for scanning
• sort source documents into prescribed, files and forms
• scan documents into document management systems or databases
• check completed work for accuracy
• store completed documents in designated locations
• maintain logbooks or records of activities and tasks
• respond to requests for information
• print information when required
• comply with data integrity and security policies
• assemble completed tax returns for delivery to client

• proficient in computer applications including MS Office
• accurate keyboard skills
