This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the congregate and home delivered meal programs. This position will provide prevention and education activities, as well as direct services related to nutrition and safety. These activities take place within the scope of the Aging and Disability Resource Center and primarily target individuals aged 60 and over.
SUPERVISIONThis position monitors the work of nutrition site workers and food delivery drivers, serving as the primary contact for the part-time and casual nutrition program employees and will provide oversight to program volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive and process referrals for the congregate and home delivered meal program.
- Complete face-to-face eligibility assessment and reassessment for congregate and home delivered meal participants.
- Coordinate acquisition, promotion, and distribution of Senior Farmer’s Market vouchers.
- Complete state reporting for Senior Farmer’s Market voucher program.
- Provide initial and ongoing training for nutrition program staff and volunteers.
- Communicate regularly and troubleshoot with congregate meal site workers and meal delivery drivers.
- Assist supervisor with monitoring program budgets and spending as directed.
- Plan, coordinate and evaluate a multi-faceted Health Promotions program for older adults.
- Communicate with staff at the Wisconsin Institute for Healthy Aging and complete identified reports in a timely manner.
- Input client information and services into the State data base system and run regular reports.
- Lead volunteer outreach efforts with assistance from the Walworth County Volunteer Coordinator.
- Develop volunteer schedules.
- Represent the ADRC and provide community education at local events and service organization meetings.
- Provide marketing and outreach related to ADRC services to the public.
- Monitor food safety standards for staff and volunteers.
- Deliver meals and/or cover for dining center staff at congregate meal sites as needed.
- Provide direct support and services at congregate meal sites as needed.
- Prepare for annual meal site inspections.
- Provide quarterly nutrition education at congregate meal sites.
- Demonstrate a commitment to county safety and risk management efforts.
High School, plus two additional years of formal preparation in a Health & Human Services related field and one year of relevant prior experience required. Registered Dietician certification or Bachelor’s degree in a Health & Human Services related field preferred. Leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care principles is essential.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS & SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS- Valid driver's license.
- Proof of minimum liability auto insurance coverage.
- Serve Safe food safety certification required within six (6) months of hire.
- This position is required to travel out-of-county with overnight stays several times a year.
