The Preserve WV Ameri Corps program gives you the chance to make a real difference by helping small museums, historic sites, and community organizations in West Virginia protect and share their history. As a member, you'll build skills in historic preservation, education, and community engagement while supporting organizations that keep West Virginia’s stories alive for future generations. There are a number of service opportunities available and all with unique service plans.
MemberDuties
The service duties assigned to the member will be based on individual site and community needs and, in many cases, will incorporate a variety of skills. Visit (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). for more information on individual service plans.
Members’ service plan will generally involve the following activities:
- Capacity Building services such as plan and coordinate cultural events; recruit, train, manage volunteers; create educational programs; complete National Register nominations; marketing and communications outreach; artifact conservation; and hands-on historic preservation.
