American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring a WV or compact license and prior ER and travel experience.

• Work in a general Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• Level I and II Trauma Center and Stroke Certified Facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00, weekdays with some weekends and holidays required
• Blocked scheduling not guaranteed though the unit will try to group shifts when possible
• Uses AllScripts/McKesson and Cerner charting systems

• Active WV or compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, NRP, TNCC
• Previous travel experience required
• Minimum 2 Manager and/or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years required
• Experience with trauma care, pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory emergencies, and cardiac monitoring preferred
• Skills in starting/maintaining IVs, administering emergency medications, and triage required

• Provide emergency care for a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Must complete non-billable training modules (approximately 8 hours) prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions considered with signed doctor's note and completed exemption form, religious exemptions not accepted
• Scrub color required:
  Navy Blue
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility, with case-by-case consideration for those between 75-100 miles
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as a traveler
• Current employees of the affiliated health system (including CAMC Health Systems, Mon Health Systems, Davis Medical Center, Broaddus Hospital, Webster Memorial Hospital, Grafton City Hospital, Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, and Minnie Hamilton Health System) are not eligible for travel contracts within the system
