Essential Job Functions
  • Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  • Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  • Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).
  • Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring they stay current on training.
  • Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure qualified team members are selected.
  • Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  • Ensure buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
  • Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure.
  • Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly, issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise properly.
  • Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
  • Communicate Zipline messages, delegate and complete Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted work schedule, gain management approval for changes/deviations, and clock in/out accordingly.
  • Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming alarms, and checking/locking delivery vehicles.
  • Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities
  • Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
Desired
  • Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
