Goldrush - Underground Parts Coordinator at Nevada Gold Mines.

This role supports Underground Mobile Maintenance projects and planning, including ensuring parts are located and staged for scheduled maintenance, coordinating machine issues with Predictive Maintenance/Condition Monitoring groups, coordinating with Supply Chain and setting stocking levels, and related activities.

The Underground Mobile Maintenance Parts Expeditor will be responsible for material extensions, entering stock requests, assisting with on-time parts delivery, and analyzing past material usage with component replacement forecasts to determine proper stocking levels at site and with Business Partners.

The successful candidate will coordinate activities that support NGM’s best business practices. When necessary, the candidate will modify existing or create new operating procedures and tools to maximize asset value while upholding the Nevada Gold Mines vision and core values.

• Comply with State and Federal legal regulations, Barrick Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
• Cooperate with supervisors, coordinators and managers on safety and environmental issues, including complying with any instruction
• Intervene, as necessary, to ensure the health and safety of others in the workplace and to protect the environment
• Attend scheduled or unscheduled safety meetings
• Complete regular safety inspections of the workplace and audit work practices
• Work effectively as a team member
• Work effectively with other departments and various suppliers
• Demonstrate safe and environmentally sound work practices
• Locate available suppliers, identify correct parts by manufacturer, machine serial number and updates to support the NGM business strategy
• Identify physical part location, availability and lead times for procurement
• Efficiently create direct charge requisitions and procure system catalogued materials following established NGM process flows and track delivery through to receipt
• Monitor the process flow of parts orders for scheduled/un Scheduled workflow and communicate identified risk to the team
• Collaborate with area or on-call buyers to ensure accurate delivery of parts orders and communicate progress to maintenance end users
• Identify and communicate improvement opportunities related to part procurement and costs
• Provide efficient, accurate communication to relevant stakeholders
• Demonstrate clear identification of parts (e.g., hydraulic pump vs. hydraulic motor)
• Create and distribute applicable component replacement advisories for rotable parts
• Work with NGM-Supply Chain to evaluate parts returns and process applicable parts
• Demonstrate proficiency with supporting software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word)
• Monitor exchangeable core components and parts for return and communicate progress to stakeholders
• Demonstrate competent forklift operation
• Understand supply chain process flows (procurement, material governance)
• Conduct competitive Request for Quotation processes
• Analyze unused parts and provide accurate reporting
• Kit where necessary and stage parts in shop for maintenance execution teams
• Exposure to PdM/CM technologies preferred
• Fundamental operational efficiency of ERP (SAP) preferred
• Planning experience preferred
• Specialized mechanical/electrical trades experience, particularly with underground mining equipment preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, MST, SAP, Power BI and PI Vision software programs preferred
• Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills required
• Ability to perform the essential functions of this position required
• Five (5) years practical experience in Maintenance, preferably in a mining environment required
