Our People Division is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Chemist in our Gold Quarry Assay Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Day-to-day laboratory QA/QC, instrumentation including service and troubleshooting
• Training others and evaluating skills with a strong chemistry background
• Working knowledge of computers
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures in collaboration with production supervisors
• Supervising Junior Chemist and hourly technicians
• Maintaining environmental compliance and quality of analytical work
• Managing administrative tasks like SAP entries, employee training, and performance reviews
• Controlling area costs to meet budget
• Prioritizing workload to meet client expectations
• Promoting a safe working environment and culture
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field
• 3 to 8 years of experience in an analytical laboratory/mining preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of analytical instrumentation troubleshooting
• Supervisory experience
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position
