Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Environmental professional to join the Environmental group in Carlin. The successful candidate will perform technical and administrative work to ensure that legal and compliance obligations related to air quality permits and programs are achieved.

- Work closely with site personnel to ensure compliance with Title V, Class II, and MOPTC permits.
- Maintain and improve sustainable systems to ensure air compliance at all times within the organization.
- Prepare for inspections of operations to ensure permit compliance, including accompanying regulatory inspectors on periodic inspections of work areas on the mine site.
- Participate in source testing activities, as assigned.
- Prepare semi‑annual and annual compliance reports, as assigned.
- Manage contractor work, as applicable.
- Assist operating division personnel in achieving their objectives.
- Assist with training of NGM employees, contractors, and others.
- Respond to environmental incidents after hours on a periodic basis, as needed.
- Walk over uneven, sloped, rocky, wet or icy ground and lift 40+ pounds consistently and safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field required; can be substituted with 5 years of direct mining and air program related experience.
- Experience in Title V air permit compliance, including regulatory agency interactions preferred.
- One to three years in a mining industry setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of data from various sources required.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required.
- In‑depth experience with Excel required.
