About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Readjustment Counselor to provide trauma-informed mental health services to Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and their families in Elko, Nevada
. This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional who is passionate about helping service members successfully transition and reintegrate into civilian life.
As a Readjustment Counselor, you will:
Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling
Support clients experiencing combat trauma, military sexual trauma (MST), PTSD, life transitions, and substance-related concerns
Develop treatment/service plans and conduct clinical risk assessments
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation (DAP format)
Coordinate with the VA on client progress and crisis reporting when necessary
Participate in supervision/clinical collaboration with Vet Center leadership
You must be licensed in the State of Nevada as one of the following:
Psychologist (PsyD / PhD)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW / MSW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT / MA/MS)
Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPC/LCPC / MA/MS/EdD)
Required:
Minimum 3 years of post-graduate counseling experience
Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention
Ability to maintain compliance with HIPAA and VA recordkeeping requirements
Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload

Post-deployment adjustment
Relationship and family stress
Grief and loss
Employment and social reintegration
Substance misuse and high-risk behaviors
Services must be provided in person in Elko, Nevada
