Description
Provides high quality pre- hospital advanced life support as a paramedic representing NNRH while assisting EMS providers in the field and during inter facility transfers via ground and air. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the treatment outcome of patients of all ages including the neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations as defined by the paramedic scope of practice through Department of Health Guidelines.
The Paramedic functions to support in the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department (ED).
High School graduate or GED equivalent. Successful completion of a Nevada state approved paramedic course with certificate.
ExperienceCurrent active field experience
Flight eligibility
Certification/Licensure/RegistrationCurrent Nevada Paramedic certification.
Some management experience in health care preferred but not required.
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
NRP certification
Preferred Qualifications- ATLS, TNCC, TNATC course completion
- HAZMAT Awareness certification (Within 6 months of hire)
- Infectious Disease class completion (Initial training)
- RSI/Intubation/Advanced Difficult Airway Training
- NIMS certification (100, 200, 700, 800) needs to be completed within 60 days from hire date.
