Position: Social Worker (LMSW)

Qualified Mental Health Professional (Social Worker, Psychologist, Psychiatrist, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Professional Counselor)

Schedule: this role will work 8-hour Days, Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30pm.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Provide independent practice license scope levels of psychiatric care for patients on the Behavioral Health Unit. Provide and document mental health services to psychiatric patients.
  • Develop and facilitate discharge planning in collaboration with patient and patient’s family, supportive other, or guardian.
  • Develop and deliver psycho educational programming and lead or co‑lead group psychotherapy as assigned.
  • Coordinate, develop, and deliver curriculum to meet the psychological needs of patients.
  • Perform clinical services aimed at stabilizing the psychiatric crisis and developing healthy mental health management through a biopsychosocial model of treatment.
  • Coordinate referral of patients and families to appropriate community, social service, home health service, extended care and rehabilitation facilities, and organizations. Arrange discharge and post-hospital care of patients through community institutions and agencies.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, participate in data collection and analysis, contribute to problem solving and identify actions to be taken and effectiveness of those actions. Utilize evidence‑based tools to analyze and identify trends/patterns of performance through variance reporting to improve quality and satisfaction and decrease variation and cost.
  • Prepare statistical reports on department services and patient needs; participate in billing procedures for services rendered as required. Provide education and support to clinical staff by attending staff meetings, small groups, and one‑on‑one education related to resource utilization, discharge planning, and psychosocial aspects of healthcare delivery.
  • Facilitate group psychotherapy and psycho educational focus groups serving as a role model for patients to observe and learn socially effective values, attitudes, and behaviors. Offer brief individual, group, and family therapy, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and provide information and referrals as needed in collaboration with the case management department.
  • Document patient care and information in an accurate, legible manner; documentation is reflective of patient behavior, thoughts, feelings and responses to milieu and the treatment plan directed interventions.
  • Interact with others in a nonjudgmental, assertive, and respectful fashion demonstrating a professional, caring attitude and behavior toward others; demonstrate understanding of program philosophy, rules, and regulations.
  • Review charts in preparation of patient treatment planning and provide input on patient progress. Evaluate and update treatment interventions in collaboration with charge nurse and/or Program Director.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the adult patient.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum Education:

    Master’s Degree in a related field.
  • Certifications:

    American Heart Association BLS.
  • Licenses: NV license required (LCSW, LMFT, CPC, psychologist, psychiatrist or licensed intern in any of those areas).
  • Experience:

    A minimum of one to two years working in a similar setting preferred.
