Overview
IT Support Tech - Elko role at Maverick Gaming
. The IT Support Tech will be responsible for providing a variety of technology services to the Management teams, Front Line Customer Service and Back of House staff. This position will require a high energy individual that is able to keep up in a very fast paced work environment. Providing exceptional customer service is the first priority. The qualified candidate will rely on excellent problem solving, communication, organization, and business skills to provide technology solutions for our clients and fellow team members.
- Assist end users in resolving hardware and software issues by utilizing phone and email communications, diagnose problems and perform troubleshooting activities.
- Document, track, and monitor the problem to facilitate a timely resolution.
- Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
- Fulfilling after hours on-call for the IT department when needed.
- Reports to a supervisor, though some ingenuity and flexibility is required.
- Configure, test, maintain, and resolve issues related to LAN.
- Provide troubleshooting support to end users. Installs workstations.
- Install, test, monitor, upgrade troubleshoot, and repairs computer systems, networks and peripherals.
- Ensure that security software is properly installed on employee computers.
- Perform related and/or other duties as required.
- High School Diploma/GED required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience in IT-related position.
- At least one IT certification (A+, MCP) or obtain within the first 6 months.
- Industry certifications and memberships a plus.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
- Excellent IT, communication, leadership and management skills.
- Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously.
- Proven track record of maintaining IT structural integrity.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a basic understanding of computer network cabling.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Windows 10 & 11, SharePoint, Office 365
- Help desk (Printers, Desktops, Laptops, Monitors).
- Understanding of modern security appliances, security practices, firewalls.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
$21-$28/hr DOE
