Director of Womens Services -

• Providing leadership and oversight of staff for Women’s Services
• Coordinating collaborative interdisciplinary strategies for Joint Commission preparation and processes for ongoing compliance to regulatory standards
• Providing safe practices for patients in all aspects of patient care activities for Women’s Services
• Provision of patient / family centered care services from admission, stabilization, operative interventions, and discharge processes

Education: Bachelor degree in nursing. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of Obstetric nursing experience required. 2 years nursing leadership experience required.

Licensure: Nevada licensed Registered Nurse. BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and advanced fetal monitoring certifications.

Skills: Requires knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, typed, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The methods used to express or exchange ideas are by spoken, written, or typed words. Written and manual dexterity skills are also required for the position. Requires judgment/action that could result in the death of a patient.

Ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. Leadership skills in decision making, problem solving, and interpersonal relations are involved in the daily contacts of working with department directors. Sets the climate for cooperation between co-workers and shifts for a smooth-running operation.
